Jim Bowman is a founding member of FerrisBowman, PLLC. Prior to attending law school he worked as a consultant for Capital One in network enterprise administration. He has over fifteen years’ experience in the business of Information Technology. He is certified in multiple technology platforms, including Novell and Microsoft. He is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.He has handled numerous cases in federal district courts regarding Truth in Lending, RESPA and Securities Act violations. He has used such violations as a defense to residential foreclosure situations. He has served as general counsel to small technical and engineering organizations. In addition to his work in Virginia courts, James is a member of the Bar of the District of Columbia and numerous federal bankruptcy bar organizations. Jim's practice at FerrisBowman, PLLC is concentrated in the areas of Consumer, Business, Corporate and Intellectual Property Law.
